IIRC he also snatched a 2-0 series in GSL qualifiers over soO. He's unstable, but his unstable state is still better than most players' stable state.

He's unstable, but his unstable state is still better than most players' stable state. It was a 2-1 followed by an 0-2 in rematch. But regardless, unstable means unstable. He can be really strong but he hasn't managed to keep it up for any longer stretches of time. He can also look weak and bounce back impressively.

Sometimes I felt life just tried to win purely on ling roach (which he did very often), and maybe that's because he was just too good to need to tech. But Reynor plays tech focused very well and throughout that he's makes great use of lings from start to finish. I also absolutely love his positioning in setting up engagements. Best player at consistently doing that since Stephano in my opinion. As you mentioned, watching the mini-map in Reynor games is so fun! But Reynor's beaten the 3rd and 4th best foreigners with authority this tournament (in my opinion) in Showtime and Special. I'd welcome a Reynor vs Neeb match (though I don't think Reynor will get past Serral).

That's true, and it just makes me wonder why he has struggled this year to find the sort of consistency that won him 3 WCS and kespa cup. Maybe it was patch 4.0 that changed everything, but it just feels like he doesn't close out games the way that he used to - he makes so many risky moves and throws leads away more often nowadays. Not saying that he won't beat top players and/or win tournaments (and he already has this year), but he would have better chances with his solid style of old

It wasn't Bly being cheesy that won him a game. His losses since then were in PvP with his loss to Mana feeling like it came because he just wasn't respecting Mana.

The dropperlord nerf was the only thing I can recall.
