G5, where is Machine though ? His match was the one that was supposed to be postponed to now and yet he isnt here
|
He's on US West. I'll msg him and text him.
Thank you W4rri0r

Ok. gogo. I am online on european server, channel "STPL". If I see Machine in there, I will call Cryoc.
|
So? Don't wanna wait forever -_- It is already more than an hour
edit they are playing now, but ye waiting over an hour is pretty lame :/

I'd just come us west and try messaging him. I've been msging him and text him. He's online.

As I heard Machine vs Cryoc are playing now. But seriously, this is super bm showing up almost 90mins after rescheduled time. Chrisolo aka Red.cReAtiVee was waiting for him over an hour to organise things.
Edit: This is not against you, G5, just to be clear.

There's already been a lot of walk overs and poor organizing in the STPL that leads to a lot of frustration. One thing is having fun with the game, but pissing away others' time is not exactly what I'd call fun. Not talking about the situation betwen ReD and Media here, as I don't know exactly what's going on here.
But this attitude should really not get hold, and instead people should rather take the time of others more seriously. I whole-heartedly agree that it's primarily about enjoying the game and all that. But there's people who've used their lunch break at work to play in the STPL just to be stood up. There's people who prioritize the scheduled time to play in the STPL, instead of spending time with spouses and children. Or do chores they really need to have done. There's a lot that's been chosen away, and that have been chosen carefully as any sane person would prioritize family and such over a game.
It's not about being a try-hard or rule fanatic. It's about remembering the person on the other end. If something comes up or whatever, then fine. There's room for that. But only when it's truly needed.
Sorry for going a bit off here. And this really isn't really inteded for you personally and that I assume you don't care about the time of others and all such. But it was more an opportunity to express the frustration in many CWs where some players don't seem to realize that their choices and lack of responsibility actually have consequences for others.

The match CadenZie vs G5 was played, thanks to both of you being able to re-schedule the game on your own. No w.o. given/taken anymore.

I am agreeing with Incomplete soooooo much. Nothing to be added form my side.
Edit: Not related to this case Red vs Media, that was a different story.

Yes I agree with incomplete as well. Ive taken several walkovers in this and other leagues, and ill take several more if people continue to waste my time and the time of my team mates. Not showing up for a time you agreed upon is very disrespectful to the other party. If you cant make that time, rearrange something earlier or just dont put yourself in the lineup at all. Other teams do not have to cater to people with poor commitment or time management skills. Show some responsibility, it doesnt fucking matter if this is a "tryhard video game in 2018" or a job interview. You made an appointment, you honor it. We are all adults here, we can communicate about being late etc. But no player no news for 1hour+ and we are taking the w.o. Sadly this has happened more than a couple times.
|
Said person, or dragon, who came on bwcl playoffs 25 minutes late and interrupted match scheduling, where it was already being done by another leader.
|
I want to point out that I did not mean to start a discussion about the topic of missing opponents and that the cw Red vs Media wasn't one of the cases where the enemies were missing without an apology or excuse. There was a misunderstanding, which can happen. We managed to play the matches in the end and i hope that the last postponed match will also be played soon. Other than the misunderstanding and hence scheduling issues, the CW was mannered and nice.

Radley. Yes and I let my teammates know, and to pass on the msg to KDV, that i was going to be late because I was playing my STPL match still. Thats called responsibility. I jumped in the BWCL channel soon as my match was done so to minimize the inconvenience to your team, so I was unaware that SuGo had already gone ahead and made a lineup without me. As you know, that is why there was confusion when I tried to start making a lineup. The miscommunication was fixed within 1 minute.
Unlike your behavior, which was childish and inflammatory the entire war and was not fixed at all. Even your own team mate apologized to me for your shit, I guess it was embarrassing.

Just because it's starting to become personal I'd like it if you guys still have problems to take it to PMs be it on here or on discord. I realise that sometimes it's very hard to arrange games, especially when things are not going 100% to plan with activity especially over this summer period. I'd like to remind you all that we've gone 14-15 weeks of time without having any major issues, this is the first! Hopefully we can all learn a but from what went wrong this week and improve it for the weeks moving forward.
There was certainly a communications breakdown in a few instances this week, so rather than dwell on that let's look forward to the future to ensure it doesn't happen again!
