I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to see people fail at orbs over and over.
Like they had a 2 mage group that took almost a minute to do the run, yet when I went up as a double heals group (disc priest, mw monk), we would be done in < 10 seconds. It really shows the people that fail at simple mechanics =/.

I know dh has to do some backwards maneuver and warrior has a tight window? Duos doesn't seem hard though unless you don't have a way to dot webs.

Always fun to get kicked from group because warlock put the portal in a place that makes it impossible to solo orb run

Finally got him down. Had like 6 people from same guild, they werent amazing but at least they were consistent and we didnt have to rotate many people. No loot ofc. Edit: looking at the log, warlock with 94% uptime, so he didnt die, had 6,4k dps. How can you be so potato.

In my last group we had beam in p2 before the first feast, thats how fast the orb runners were. We got him to 20% then wiped, on the first pull. The next pull we told the 6th runner to wait until second feast, so he just died to dot dmg while waiting upstairs. We switched his position so the heal monk is last because he can heal himself, but a lock left and the new lock placed the gate wrong so the same guy failed again on his orb duty. Next try gate was correct but the tank managed to get mind controlled by the dark young. We wipe kick the tank, some people start leaving. Group disbands without ever seeing p2 again after first pull.
Pugging H Ghuun is indeed a nightmare. First they wanna find 2 warlocks and 6 solo orb runners, so forming the group takes fucking forever, then they kick every orb runner who fails once, or ppl instaquit when it goes wrong once, etc etc.
Killed it with my guild last night though. Mythic Taloc is wayyy easier.

Fortunately I got my azerite chest so I don't have to pug it anymore.

Here's a stupid observation, just occurred to me while grinding. Was there ever an addon where literally every third mob type had knockbacks and/or stuns?
Jesus christ.

Me and my friend are on US server and have a +8 Underrot keystone. We are kinda underleveled for it though. I am 347 ilvl and he is 358. Anyone on US Horde wanna try helping us? :D

The real question is how did it go. Didnt feel like pugging HC this week after the fast 6 clear. Maybe next week. Didnt even bother with Normal. Uldir isnt a very fun raid tbh, unless you are smashing through it at this point. Ghuuns kinda fun for me but other than that its just ok.

We ran a Motherlode +9 instead. Went great. Didn't finish before the timer, but it only took 52 minutes, which I consider a success.

That shadowstep disrupts discpriest penance too.
Meh.. So far, not impressed with BfA. Looks great, it's genuinely impressive what they got out of that old (even if updated) engine - but.. Dunno, questing isn't fun, since there's rarely (i think so far maybe three times? At 119 now) something different than "kill that big guy, and 12 stuffs that are around him - also click some blinky shit to make the bar go further". One where you're that rolling ball thing, bumping into flowers - one turtle minigame puzzle thing, and i think twice flying while throwing bombs. The rest literally boils down to said pattern, it's always the same. Treasure and Rares are completely pointless in terms of fun, yay 12 resources and some vendor trash.
Guess i'm just disappointed. I played gladiator in season 4 as disc priest, it changed so much that i actually am scared to try and heal dungeons as disc because i can't get behind the concept - that's subjective though. Holy priest appears to be kinda worthless in higher mythic levels, eh - quick toon it's going to be.
But the worst part by far, and i guess that's on me because i didn't want to spoiler myself, i went with zero knowledge into the addon and only realised then that Horde is kinda.. not what it was before. Yeah sounds stupid and stuff, but i liked the lore, and for more than a decade i basically saw myself as a "chaotic good", or "chaotic neutral" character to put it in those kinda terms. That changed, Horde currently is outright evil. I know that generally there's bad and good guys on both sides, but this isn't a bad guy, this is horde commiting genocide, petty destruction, etc etc. There's no grey there, it's purely black and white. And worst of all, i can't actually see any interesting way to get out of this without a lame story. Either Sylvannas will be Garrosh 2.0, or some lazy bullshit excuse.
The only impressive thing would be (and i know that it's obviously not going to happen) if WoW splits into three factions - Sylvannas evul dipshits, Alliance shiny whiteknights, and Thralls Earthen Ring in the middle. That'd be great, even if Thrall would be mute without Chris Metzen voicing him.

Fucking disaster lol
tl;dr, the loot on islands is tied to stuff that is not part of the encouraged way to complete them - filling the island progress bar as quickly as possible.
"In essence, the most efficient way of doing islands ELIMINATES your chances of getting loot – in some cases nearly completely. If you happen to do 1-2 ‘X’ nodes with no NAMED rares/elites and then the Azerite elemental spawn followed by killing the enemy faction a bit while you mine super dense and efficient nodes? Your loot table is EMPTY."
---
Random drop content is already the most awful thing in WoW, by far. I'm over 100 runs into Coren Direbrew over the years and no Swift Ram - how is that fun or engaging?
The only thing worse than random drop content I can imagine is random drop content with unknown rates (or even if you're doing the right thing at all for hours to get the drop???)
I do agree with this, a literal year of glaive farming got me 1 glaive instead of the ~5 that people get on average, no guarantee that i'l get the transmog on my second year of farming since i may continue to get no glaives or get a duplicate of the one that i already have.
I hunted the Infinite Timereaver for thousands of boss kills before it was clear that the drop rate was actually on the scale of 0.05%, we were initially speculating that it was 20 times higher than that especially after somebody got one in our second dungeon run of the patch.
I'm all for clear droprates and game-wide visible-in-the-UI BLP, like if something has a 10% droprate then i'd have it have a 90% chance of dropping by the 25'th kill and be guaranteed by the 40'th. That still allows for people to be lucky and get it on the first kill, it just puts a ceiling on the amount of commitment that you'd need to get a certain reward.

I've only done the left side solo, but you can with warlock gate obv, leap immediately charge one thing and charge another, and have very very little time to make it close enough. Thankfully my guild doesnt rage bad if one cant make it cause ive been stopped just outside of key range several times by bad luck or being slowed by the growth things

Why the difference of opinion? I would absolutely put glaives into "current content" as well, given that the transmog was added last year and i've been farming it since then. Same for timewalking.
I'm not really talking about Ashes of Alar although i don't see why they - given the 1% droprate currently - shouldn't have a 90% likelyhood to drop by the 250'th week and be guaranteed by the 400'th, to go beyond that is just ridiculous IMO. I don't think it's right that you could farm it every reset for 10 years and not only not get it but not be any closer than the day that you started.

(Havoc) Eyes of Rage: damage increased by 20%. (Havoc) Furious Gaze: Haste increased by 40% and duration increased to 12 sec. (Havoc) Revolving Blades: damage reduced by 35%. (Havoc) Thirsting Blades: damage increased by 70%. (Vengeance) Revel in Pain: absorption increased by 20%.
Good first pass for azerite balance
Small buff to EOR, still looks to be of limited relevance. Maybe 1 of them will make a showing in m+, or at least if you have it on a piece of gear 15-30 ilvls up it won't be so bad any more.
Furious Gaze buff is increasing the average haste given by 2.1x, that's pretty huge and will push it into relevance
Revolving blades damage portion nerfed by 35%, at least 1 of them (maybe 2) will still have a place for ST+AOE and that makes other traits more able to compete with it
70% buff on Thirsting Blades damage makes it BIS or near-BIS to have one of them on ST. Both Revolving and Thirsting have fury reduction and damage increasing effects, the fury reduction parts do not stack with multiples of the traits so having 1 of each is more powerful than having 2 of either.
This also serves as an overall nerf to Havoc on the scale of 3-4% or so, but focused on people that had BIS-style layouts on their highest ilvl gear. Some people with poor trait setups stayed damage neutral or even went up but it'll be harder to top meters now.

"However, separate from the tooltip change, we are going to experiment a little with reducing how big the threat bonus is on the 8.1 PTR. Currently, it's pretty massive, which is a holdover from when it was first added in Mists of Pandaria. Remember, back then active tanks were dealing huge amounts of damage (and thus, threat) due to the Vengeance mechanic, and so the offtank needed a huge threat boost to be able to keep aggro through tank swaps. That mechanic hasn't existed for a few expansions now."
Huh, do they not remember doubling its power in Legion to put more control of threat into the tanks hands? That was long after the tank DPS mechanics were removed

Indeed about how Sylvanas is just utterly chaotic evil and how they will never resolve this in a satisfying way. Redemption is going to feel extremely hollow and forced, Players killing her is Garrosh 2.0 and killing her in a cutscene will be the least satisfying thing ever.

+ Show Spoiler +The more i read about that one, the more i think i understand the title "Battle for Azeroth". It's not really Horde vs Alliance, it's a repeat of the old gods going at it. I'm just not sure that it's N'zoth fucking with Sylvanas - she got impaled by Saronite/Yogg Saron in ICC, that'd make "more sense" to me. They're all constantly quoting the old gods too, all the "nothing" stuff. Doesn't really make anything better though - it's again, subjective.

Yeah, i missed all that because i actively avoided it. I certainly can understand that "bitching" though. I mean, even if the spoilered part is correct, still the entire faction just went with it. To me, there can't really be redemption - but hey, maybe they surprise me. Not holding my breath though.

Anyone had a bug where quaking hit you multiple times? I'm pretty sure I was alone (wild charging in travel form) and I got hit by 27k x3 which made me die to a melee causing my pug party to miss 10key timer in Siege. I felt really bad.

Yeah, there is a list of bugs like that which make timing hard keys a lottery at times. I'm mostly sitting back and waiting for the 8.1.5 polish to play heavily when the system issues and bugs have been worked out some more
see https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/9idypf/mythic_10_bugs_tired_of_them/
I've personally experienced all of those except for the shark toss one plus quite a few more

I've had the shark toss one happen. It's pretty miserable. We managed to do it without a wipe but it was only on +9 so obviously easier than the people doing >+10. It's got to be annoying for those who really want to push high keystones, to have so many bugs in these dungeons that impede progress.
The temple of sethraliss one happened too and that one I was pretty miffed with. You just can't complete it. It ends the run, and there's no way to prevent it from happening. You just have to hope the orb doesn't fall through the ground. We even tried getting orb guardians near the spot to grab it but they wouldn't do it either.
