The thor in SC2ProMod has been greatly reduced in size, giving it much better maneuverability. Its AA damage has been reduced to 10 +10 against armor. However to balance that it receives the new Charon booster upgrade which extends it’s range to 9 (that of a carrier or broodlord). Cost has been reduced to 100/50." best change of all i support this mod and look forward to downloading when it gets released to the general closed-beta public Thank you. GTR thought of that himself.

It's good that you guys are doing everything in your power to make sure SC2 is a great e-sport. but keep in mind SC2 is in Beta and not a finished product by Blizzard yet. Liquid`Nony complaining about beta balance and saying he won't play because balance is so bad is rediculous, and mad over losing to people who he could beat in SC. It's a new game, you shouldn't be able to switch over and instantly be the best SC2 player in the world. I mean from the sound of it he tried the game a little bit, didn't feel like learning how to deal with new units like reapers, so he immediately backed a mod that would cater to his playstyle rather than adjusting it. Now he's bashing a game when he has little experience playing it. What you need to realize though is that if the entire professional community switches over to this mod you're talking about then there is really no chance for the balance of SC2 period. Blizzard needs the professional community playing games in the beta for them to study, not whining on the sidelines about needing to learn a new game. They collect this data, and they can effectively smooth out imbalances more quickly than any 3rd party modding for Blizzard games. It would take team liquid a longer time to weed out any abusive strategies like Blizzard has been doing since the release of beta. Also, pro starcraft 2 will never be mainstream if it's done in this way. People who play SC2 won't be able to relate to a mod that's totally different from the game they play. They'll wonder.. why? and there will be trash talk about it, like newbs couldn't learn the real game, let them do their thing. I guess what I'm trying to say is this idea of splitting the community is counter productive and foolish. but maybe Blizzard will take something from this and maybe contact you guys directly and try and figure out what they're doing so horribly wrong. I agree that the defensive option is severely nerfed in Starcraft 2 and this needs to be dealt with for the game to have as much depth as broodwar has. but it's far too early to take our trust out of Blizzard right now. It's far too early to split the community and call SC2 a failure. Not smart. lmao...dude...its a joke

This is the future of esports and you should embrace change.

Remember, this is just the first part of the trilogy! Ask IdrA about a special new zerg flier we have planned.
