I never had this problem in the past, though it is possible one of the new patches just isn't jiving or something and that the auto-renamer is uninvolved.
Anyone else having this problem? I mean, even if it is causing it. It's still probably less time to re-login than rename my replays.
don't run the program and see if sc2 disconnects still?

edit- yea he does have it
I don't use the auto renamer, I just mass rename at the end of a session. No problems with that ofc.

yea, he turned it off and no DC.

very nice tool, i hope you add a customizable format with date, matchup, etc.

great work! nice tool and useful! gg

This is pretty sad that the community already has to develop tools to fix flaws in sc2.

No idea what would be causing this. I have no way of testing it myself since I am not in the beta. I might add an option to delay the renaming with x seconds, to see if that helps.

The only problem is replays with multiple players. I can always add a format where you can choose in which order it lists the match-up, map, players, date/time and ID. Basic time/date support is already done in my current development version.
I will start working on this again as soon as I get my dev pc back on track. One of my main HDs died and I wont be able to fix it until Sunday.

Wow thanks this helped me find my game vs a certain somebody!

warcode, just use a filesystem watcher... when a new file is created in the recents folder, parse the player info and store the files that way, it shouldnt interact with connection or the game in any way
if theres a demand for competing versions of this, i can make a quick example for people to build on, shouldnt take but 30 minutes or so

That is exactly what I am doing. And why I was surprised that it would be interfering with the connection in any way. It even waits for SC2 to finish writing the replay and release the file before attempting to rename it.

yea turning it off fixed the problem, I'll just use the renamer at the end of sessions.

weird
maybe the game interacts with the file more than once after a replay? might be parsing it itself, or doing checksums, etc

Yes. And that is why I'll add a timer variable to check if waiting a couple of more seconds will fix it.

Firstly, thank you - great handy little program which I'll be using a lot.
Feature requests: Be able to set the order of information (i.e. [Races][Names][Date] or [Date][Races][Names]) Be able to set your username and always have that name first / second (i.e. Username is Peleus, so the replays are always, Peleus vs warcode, Peleus vs ...., Peleus vs ..... not a mix of names first and second) Be able to have a win or loss indicated if it's your username. (Very hand if you're having problems with playing against say Terran to go back through and find all the Terran games you have lost or won specifically rather than trying to view them all).
I'm not sure what is and isn't possible within the confines of SC2's information, just these things would be great.
Thank you again for your effort though. Awesome job.

I also have hte problem where I get disconnected from battle.net after every game and the problem went away when I turned off the SC2 Replay Auto-Renamer.
I have over 20 free losses on my account due to me queuing and then it dropping me from battle.net and it giving me a free loss T_T

Are all players that experience the disconnects using windows XP?
A new version of the Batch-renamer will be uploaded today. Just need to run final tests and cleanup. I will be rewriting the SC2RAR with all the updates from the Batch-renamer and release a new version of that soon too.

I'm on XP and I don't experience a disconnect after every game, but while the auto-renamer is running I do disconnect every now and then.

I had the problem on Windows 7 professional 64 bit.

Yeah, I was using the program and having the exact same issue described. Game plays fine (no lag/disconnects), once game finishes get to score screen, can stay on score screen for as long as I want, but about 10-15 seconds after leaving the score screen I'd get a disconnect 100% of the time. Bug was easily reproducible and very consistent.
If it helps I'm running Win7 x64. I'll also throw in that turning off the auto-renamer immediately fixed the problem (haven't seen it since), and that even though I was being disconnected after every game it was still renaming the replays correctly.
Also, the batch renamer is working fine for me, and thanks for the tool!

Works fine for me so far.
Nice work. Much appreciated. Thank you.
