Just as a random comment; your casting has improved a lot JP. When you first started you leaned on day[9] for a lot of the heavy lifting, but in the past weeks it seems you've really come into your own voice for SC2. I genuinely enjoy hearing your casts as much as anybody's now.
Hey s2pid_loser can you spoiler that post please? thanks!
Oh, and yeah. What a night of testing! We had our ups, we had many downs, but we actually did a live cast. The matches have been played. Some of you saw it live, and for those that didn't we will be posting these to YouTube as usual.
I want to personally thank everyone who tuned into our live beta stream tonight. It was on UStreamTV. While the website does provide great streaming possibilities, we were simply testing our own hardware and not the site. We don't plan to remain on UStream for very long.
It's pretty easy to say that we're doing a horrible job right now in the realm of live casting -- and to be honest, we are compared to everyone else. People have been streaming HD since day one. We're making sure that once we go full-blown live that everything is perfect. So off-time live casts like this, with little-to-no prior press, will be somewhat of a familiar thing. In the future I'll try to be more open about when we'll be doing them. Literally ten minutes before the cast tonight our producer asked if we wanted to go live and we decided too.
That being said, I might not be posting a poll this week for our next opponent. I really just wanted to thank those that tuned in and apologize for all of the problems in tonight's cast. See you next time!
It had a cozy sort of intimate feeling to it, trying to figure stuff out and you guys did a good job of reading chat and talking to the viewers which made the whole thing feel more inclusive.
I for one dont expect flawless execution of these things, hell even the Olympics have problems with their broadcasting.
