..It's going to be a god damn pain if there's no private server available at that time. I wonder what IdrA and other Korean progamers are going to do during that time.
I would really really be interested in knowing how far the server emulation has gone with SC2, is it at all realistic to expect there to be an alternative way to play multiplayer after the official beta ends?
Nope, Blizzard took legal action against all teams that was working on it.

Now -----> May 31st: SC2 May31st -----> SC2: Thesis SC2 -----> SC2
Tragically good timing by Blizzard. Now I can graduate

I'm also seeing this as perfect timing. I'm out two weeks in June due to work trip and coverage of Devastation 2010. May 31st is gonna be a horrible day tho

Cause I mean, legal action has always worked well against online-based organizations (pirate bay?) Fact is, Blizzard is like a stubborn two year old trying to keep his cookie jar. When in reality after they throw their little fit, they will get bored, tired, then fall asleep which is around that time actual FUN is allowed. It'll happen, trust me.

I don't think anyone here feels like it is some kinda injustice. We are simply sad that this is happening. No entitlement, just
Just like how being disappointed that you didnmt win something doesn't mean you feel you should have won.

Blizzard is crafty with protecting their property these days.

nooo! i cant wait for starcraft 2 to be released !!!
|
I am going to guess 2nd phase of beta will be some kind of Server capacity test, to set things up to be able to deal with the amount of people playing after the release. Following this guess, I suppose lots of people still waiting for a beta key will get it.
On the other side, this phase will be very close to release, so if they realize the servers are not holding, there won't be much time to fix it.
Well, we shall wait and see...
