If the VOD service goes down, and we can't cover it with donations, simply make it a paying service? (Assuming there is enough interest) Or, limit the datatraffic by making it say... 300+ post members are qualified?
that would increase spam muchly.

Thank God TL. will stay up.
I don't know how else I'd waste my company's time and money at work for twelve hours.

Yeah hopefully we could keep the VODs coming. They were SOO good. HOURS upon HOURS of entertainment and just overall fun and learning.
Maybe a fee would be good. Like $20 one-time fee or something. But that's if required of course ^^.

problem with pay for service is then while we ride the fringe of pirating the various korea channels videos, selling them is when it becomes a problem usually and needs catastrophic attention. maybe if u worded it as a general sign up bonus, like make site $3 a month and vod just happens to be here also?
|
bittorrent wont work at all for the vods cause no one is going to always have the vods open. unless everyone on tl.net downloaded them as soon as they were released it would take MANY days to download just one. I suggest like buying so much per download, like a VOD credit.... Someone who only wants to see like one or two matches every other week wouldnt want to pay twenty dollars. Have a credit system setup like 5 dollars for five downloads.... and then of course have like a 35 dollar all you can eat vod buffet or something. VOD's must survive ;(

Ok how about $20 for "Premium TL.net" or something. :D
That is.. If it's needed. ^^

VODs aren't that important, and there are always other ways to get them. At least tl.net lives.

Trance, that's one of the dumbest things I've heard. : / Leg is here having fun and people like him being here. In fact, being in Korea is a lot for the fun and experience of itself as well as being a pro. Gosh, excuse me for bashing on you so much, but unless you know him and are just teasing, it just sounds totally idiotic.

Are you just not familiar with how bittorrent works? One seed is enough to start it for everyone. This is because BTs are downloaded in chunks. For example the original seed sends little bits and pieces out to 10 different leeches. Now when a new person comes, they can pull those chunks from the other leeches currently downloading while the original seed keeps sending out "new chunks". Trust me, if enough people participate, BTs would be a perfect solution to the problem. Of course people would have to be willing to leave their seeds up, but I am sure that if we added stats to the profile people would get competative in how much they seed and give to the community :-)
