Just take a look at Jinro who didnt qualify 2 times. Hes said to be a monster in practice with a remarkable variety in his gameplay. Or Tester, who is one of the most solid macro Protosses and did exceptional in gsl 1, but didnt qualify for gsl 2. There is actually a huge list of very good players (TOP etc etc) that didnt qualify.
But I think he has a good chance if he can adapt to the korean style progaming environment.
I hope for InControl's sake he says out there for a couple of seasons. If he doesn't qualify in his first season there's no reason to pack it, cause like you said it's partially based on the the luck of the draw.

Glad to see more foreigners goto the gsl. Incontrol hasn't achieved anything notable in the international scene so logically speaking i don't really think he will have what it takes for korea ;/ Good luck tho

Sooooo many foreigners going to Korea for GSL3, can't wait.
FOREIGNERS HWAITING

I hope he stays and does well also, although it's yet to be seen in 2011 if the same open format will still be as active in every tournament. I think maybe only a few will be open tournaments, but not sure.
Awesome to see foreigners do well though always.

why the doubters? players like tlo and idra have played in the gsl and had some success yet lose to players in mlg consistently. what makes it so different? stop being so racist by saying whites cant play sc2. its sickening.

the more foreigners the better IMO
|
Incontrol, if you make it you better make it far!
|
i hope he does well and join the others at the ogs-tl house soon ! all the best InC

Hope to see incontrol at least get far enough for a winner's interview, cuz i'd love to see him break the stereotypical korean interview answers haha :D

TLO and IdrA are flat out better than InControl. Ain't got no thang with being white.

sure its likely that he wont qualify like thousands of others .but hey maybe he gets a good bracket and does it. also what does he have to lose, hes a sc player why not go for gsl?

Congrats and best of luck in your future GSL qualifications. I really enjoy Incontrol's sense of humor and insight in the SotG podcast. Maybe his moving over could be signaling the start of the Evil Geniuses Team House in Korea that Tasteless was talking about.
|
Gooood luck inc! Will cheer for you! Give it your best shot!
|
Good luck, really hope you make it.

Probably fun experience for him but in all honesty I would be very surprized if he made ro64. gl though.
