Does anyone else use this keyboard? Any thoughts on the blue switches for FPS/Starcraft 2? Just picked this board up and am loving it. This is also my first mechanical KB so maybe I'm just loving the switches. I don't think you will be disappointed. Construction seems to be very sturdy like wayyy beyond any other rubber dome I have ever used. Just my 2cents. Hope that helps. Mine comes in Friday along with a g9x, sooo pumped!
I'm also getting the Rosewill mechanical kb and the g9x. Hopefully it will be a sick combo as I've heard nothing but good things about both.

Rosewill and G9X are both great! I'm rocking the Filco with the G9 (Fruitdealer style) and I love them! Logitech mice are the best, bar none.

Ducky DK9000 With blue cherry MX (accidentally got it with chinese chars adds to it ^^)

A Unicomp SpaceSaver. Oldschool mechanical IBM keyboard. I can definitely say it's the best I've ever had.
|
I also use a Unicomp, but I use the the black customizer here:
|
Both of the above (same colours, UK layout).
(I bought a SpaceSaver to replace, or as a spare for, the Customizer which had had a liquid spill that corroded the membrane. Took me a month or two to get all the fiddly little bits I needed, but I did eventually fix my Customizer, whee!)

I used the steelseries 6gv2 before it was cool (IdrA)! I've spilled coffee on this thing like six times and it still runs flawlessly, definitely good for my clumsy ways. I've heard some people saying black switches suck for typing, but I've never really encountered anything like that yet, and it's hard to go back to a membrane keyboard after using mechanical =P

Why decomissioned? Did it break? How long did you have it?

Yesterday, finally I got my hands on Filco Majestouch 104 cherry brown switches. After searching around and spend couple of weeks going around for small research, I finally decided to get Filco brown. I tried Razer blackwidow, Steelseries 6g, Filco black, blue and brown. And I decided to get the brown one.
Razer blackwidow feels too light, and somehow I feel that the keys and the design is not solid / robust on blackwidow.
Steelseries looks great, but the keys a bit heavier to type on, and I can't get any "feel" when typing on it (maybe because it's non tactile?). Tried the Filco black, and it feels more or less the same with the SS 6g. And since I mostly use my keyboard for typing, the only options left for me is either brown or blue switches. It takes me a while to decide between the two, but finally I decided on the brown one. The blue switch is great, and I must say that I love the "clicky" sound (it reminds me of IBM keyboard that I used long time ago . However I think that the brown switch has the "weight" that just perfect for me, blue switch feels a bit too light for my fingers.
And now I'm officially retiring my lovely and loyal Logitech keyboard (Logitech ultraflat). I've been using logitech for so long and I love it, still use Logitech one for work in the office.
Final words: This filco keyboard cost 10x higher compare to my old logitech keyboard (nowadays I can get it for around 12-15$), and I honestly can't say that the Filco is 10x better for my day to day use (mostly typing and light gaming). But .. it's exotics :D .. and that's my main reason why I burn my money for it .
My advice for anyone who wants to buy a keyboard, including myself for future buying: either get low (10-15$ keyboard) or aim high (100+$ mechanical keyboard). Anything between that is just not worth the money.

i actually love my razor lycosa, ive heard a lot about the razor products being over priced and cheap crap etc. but my deathadder and my lycosa are both amazing, and i got them both on sale anyway i literally will join sc2 games just so i can hammer away at my keys, and win or loss i feel happy.

Right now, G15. But a Steelseries 6Gv2 is coming in the mail right now.

I am getting one pretty soon and I'll write up my impressions of it in the thread. The general consensus is that it is essentially a filco with an annoying outer shell that attracts fingerprints.

I bought the comfort curve keyboard 2000 of micrsoft two or three years ago. It didn't cost too much and it still works greatly.

I have this keyboard. Love the fact that it isn't bulky, but I absolutely DREAD the position of the question mark key. Its oddly spaced to the right of the 2nd shift key and confuses the hell out of me constantly. the compactness is a good feature if you don't like wide keyboards, but the keys feel too cluttered together. I'd definitely suggest going with another brand.

Adesso MKB-135 Tactile Cherry MX Blue Keyboard. $70.
I think it's just about as cheap as you can get while still retaining FILCO/Das quality / tactility.

Best/most comfortable keyboard I have ever owned; only $7 too. I did have to buy a PS/2 to USB converter which was another $7 but it was worth it. I have played sc2 on the Marauder, Lycosa, and even a bit on a Black Widow and though these keyboards are definitely nice I don't see why I would ever pay so much for one when this guy feels just as good for only $7.
Quite durable too; I drop it quite a lot ><.
