If someone can maintain 3 accounts playing that much than you should have no trouble getting one account in GM and keeping it there if you are strong enough player to be there in the first place. How does playing more game make a difference? If I am the 200th best player on NA I wont be in GM league because some players who are better than me have multiple accounts and since they are better those accounts will have higher MMRs.

So if you aren't good enough to beat them and they are better than why should you be in grand master league at all?

What kind of care-bear philosophy is it to think that a player who is able to keep multiple accounts in the top 200 should not be able to, just to placate #201-#210. If they truly deserved and had the desire to be in the top 200, shouldn't they be able to get more points than Select's 5th account? And quite honestly, who cares? Combatex is in the top 50 in NA. You really want the ego boost of being in the same league as Combatex?

I can only see their being a small problem if someone with a smurf account was at the very top of the ladder and blizzard chose say the top 20 for blizzcon but i'm sure they would sort that out quite quickly Blizzard wouldn't allow a team account or smurf account to go to Blizzcon. They'd pick the next account down.

I don't think this will be an issue that needs to be dealt with by blizzard. NA server is a joke to get in to top 200. Well EU is too I think. Those players who are 150-200 are many tiers behind the top 25. They can take ladder games off them but... the point is it's actually pretty damn easy for a player like select to keep a bunch of accounts in the top 200. But I agree Blizzard doesn't need to deal with this issue

"top 200" league is the top 200 players not top 200 accounts its kinda going against what they were aiming for

Any pro players maintain 5 smurf accounts at top master's on the same server? Anyone? Bueler? I don't see how smurf accounts could ruin anything. There's no reason to have multiple smurf accounts unless you maintain separate accounts for laddering on multiple races (and if you can get multiple races into GM league, you probably deserve to be there on all accounts). Maintaining a bunch of accounts in GM league on one server seems like a waste of time honestly.
