Yea, that's very well put. He really shouldn't be doing that, but he does it anyway.
The assist fron Suarez on Messi's second goal is also out of this world. While looking the other way he makes a perfectly timed back-heel pass to Messi which I am pretty sure goes through the legs of the defender as well...

Messi is just insane. I hope he can keep this form for the CL.
Btw, a bit unrelated but the Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona in Wanda Metropolitano stadium broke world record for attendance at a women’s club match. 60,739 fans. It is true that it was a league deciding match between the top 2 of the league, but it is incredible to fill a stadium like Wanda. It shows you how much woman football has grown in Spain this last 3 years.

Stadium itself is also a wonderful masterpiece! But yes well done Spanish people for supporting that match.

Any idea if they've done something in particular to help the growth? I've seen a lot of talk about promoting women's football, but most of it has seemed really artificial and short sighted whereas a crowd like that hints that there's actually something sustainable going in Spain.

Hope so too! Unless he plays vs Ajax in the final, I hope he wins it again, just so he can get his rightful sixth Ballon d'Or. He's insane this season, up for another double in Spain.

It's sad but true that women sports are often watched for the most attractive and not actually for the best :/

Haha Kane saying winning nations league is better than WC semis. How bitter can a nation be about losing in a tournament? XD

which is more bitter: a) Being excited cos you're gonna win the Nations League b) Being annoyed because someone else is excited because they are going to win the Nations League.

You could be more like the Dutch. We actually will win the nations league, but nobody gives a shit about it.

The best is overrated in football. I like watching women's football because there's less obnoxious cheating and the games can be just as exciting.

Oh we'll see about that. Also, it will matter to you guys if you win it I'm sure. Plus by the time you win it it will be established as a real tournament and have been running for decades so people will be more likely to get excited about it.

Haha we only have subforum for the tournament itself, we can discuss qualifiers here no worries. To be honest, with the new 24 team Euros it is very hard to not qualify for it, unless you are the Netherlands xD
