Second this, also bisu is famous for not getting out of prelims, he really needs it. As much as I love Bisu (he's my favorite player), he kinda dried up in BW, and I don't expect different in SC2. I would really really love for him to be top Protoss again, but I don't see it happening sadly .

Obviously Jaedong is wildly more popular, and this is going to make this season the greatest ever, but I feel bad for Roro.
Bison deserves his spot. He has been the best player in Proleague, is OSL (1-0 over MKP), and was the second best placing KeSPA player during WCS Korea.
Yes, agreed. The point system GOM's using seemed designed with an end in mind

On thr bright side imagine tastosis casting jaedong now

Jaedong in code S! I guess it's time to go premium.

I freakin hate seeds into code A and S. It's unfair against alot of code B players that have been fighting over and over in the qualifiers without making it into the GSL.

Maybe, but KeSPA has traditionally counted only wins in KeSPA-official games (and KeSPA rank for Proleague is X points for a win, 1.5*X points for an ace match win.)
So they've been completely consistent with what they've done before... basically, they just computed people's SC2 KeSPA rank.

It is smart even if they weren't consistent to find a way to put JD in Code S. If one looks at the views for a JD match from WCS compared to anyone else he brings about 9x the views of a VOD.

There is a reason why they're still in Code B. And all of the current seeds are definitely better than the code B players. Now, in the past when seeding foreigners except maybe Naniwa these seeds have been a waste.

Roro won't even need a full season to reach Code S. People are going to drop out of Code S just because they fear if they make him play a full season of Code A he will beat them so bad they'll forget how to play the game.

I wonder how many points JD would have if they deducted points for losing, then stork would probably be in...
Oh well, hope he rapes up qualifiers so there'll Song byung goo chants soon.

no terrans
Still, looking forward to some great matches!

Really nice to see Jaedong playing more. Death stare!

I hope next time KeSPA considers individual results like WCS and OSL, and not just the SPL. The GSL -is- an individual event, after all.

The point system mentioned isn't GOMs. It's the one KeSPA themselves used to select the seeds; both for WCS and, now, for the GSL. Chae said earlier that KeSPA would be selecting the Code S and A seeds, not GOM.

I don't really think that providing the opportunity has ever been a waste. Hell, Naniwa was originally given a Code A seed, and then another, and maybe a third? I forget but I remember he went 0-10 in GSL before getting his code S seed and going on a major hotstreak. Same with HuK, while 3 foriegners got owned when they gave out that batch of Code A seeds HuK persevered and eventually made it to code S. Same with Thorzain, he won a few games in code S, a few games in Code A, and would have been in the up downs if he wasn't sick. Same with MaNa who just made it through to Code S. Even if many, many foreigners had to take some brutal losses to get to where we are now it's worth it for these stories. The better players win and the worse players lose and eventually the deserving few make it as we've seen with the above examples.

AWWWW. Soulkey! So close!
But Jaedong in Code S is cool too. ^__^

He had better start working on his decisionmaking, it was terrible the last time I saw him play (TvZ on Antiga)

Excited to see Jaedong play, I hope his skills carries over well.
