I cheered for him during Blizzcon, but didn't expect him to win, based off his form for 2014.

Compared to the 6 korean leagues They will just get smashed in the first round anyway That's also a product of if a nonKorean gets in its just barely meaning they play the first or second seeds. But the bottom half of the seeds are doable opponents for any foreigner good enough to get there in the first place. Currently the back half of players are Hydra, Rain, Stats, Dark, Fantasy, Rouge, Soulkey, Innovation, Gumiho. A few of those guys stick out as far better than their points indicate but Fanta/SK/Gumiho/Hydra are far from unbeatable as a foreigner Right now the gap between foreigners and koreans seem wider than ever.
I'd say at the top of the top it definitely is but as it pretty much always has been the "lower tier" Koreans still pretty close.

did you see the games vs kelthuzad though that was pretty depressing i think we can at least safely say that bunny is the best foreigner now

Not too much skill involved there. Then he proceeded to do the exact same build for the next 2 games, except it didnt work cus hydra wasnt greedy. After every time they went into a stable midgame, snute got completely outplayed in terms of tech decisions and even army control/position. Not to mention 2k minerals 0 gas in the last game. On a decent day he would EASILY predict his lack of gas, and at least make more spines since his entire plan was to not move out until he had T3 upgrades and roach hydra infestor anyway

Last year the Koreans that went to WCS EU played on ladder. This year there are no Koreans in EU, and no one in NA plays on NA ladder (including the Koreans and foreigners - so long as they live on East/West).

Exactly. And there was Scarlett, Snute and Naniwa who at different periods were capable of playing with the best.

Bit silly to have two Protoss players comment (of whom especially ToD gets pretty biased quite often) whilst there is such an excellent Zerg player and commentator PRESENT....

When did Harstem have any deep run against koreans? His best result was ro8 last DH where he lost to both Gumiho and HyuN, winning vs foreigners.
Tournaments with Koreans in* :p
