Gaijinhunter's videos are great tutorials. It helped me too even though I've played 3U to learn all the new things weapons can do in 4U. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT84SVapAfSSD_iMfpKbFbA/videos

If there was a way to get a little more traction on it, it would probably alleviate the problem.

And the c-stick does require some force to use, so probably will have a sore thumb for the first couple of plays.

I feel that there are many people playing it with a MMO mentality. Just ranking up, without getting propr mechanics and even enjoying the game. Just thinking about Rank and late game, while MH has just so much content trough every rank. And then you occasionally go online and see people that are G rank and don't know what active skills are, and where obviously carried to G rank. Not only they cart a lot, but you notice that they didn't bother playing solo to have wystone. MH is a solo game with co-op that you an use to do interesting stuff or to kill things easier/faster.

Yeah while I think people should play a game however they want I agree with your statement. I'm about 100 hours in and really taking my time to learn each monsters patterns, try out different weapons, and use different gear. It's been so fun the whole way through and when I started HR I didn't feel like a leech not knowing what they are doing. I've been playing solo up to 9* quests but online I'm at my HR4 Urgent. The higher I go the more the randoms start to suck. If any TL'ers around my rank wanna group up I'd love to. On the topic of how do you play this on a 3ds? Very easily, like any game press the buttons and move the stick.

Can't wait to get home and lay the beatdown on him. Frenzied Brachydios, Frenzied Deviljho and Apex Seregios also didn't seem as hard as I thought they'd be or maybe I played more cautiously cause I was scared of them.

That said, I can't imagine playing it on a screen smaller than a proper 40+ inch tv, so unless MH4 will be launched for the Wii U at some point, I'll have to pass. Edit: I mean, I can understand using a handheld console for classic jRPGs and stuff like zelda, but for a game that's based on fighting huuuuuge monsters? It makes no sense having this on the 3ds.

I sincerely hope they rethink their decision of giving up on MH on Wii U :/

This game just sells much more on Handhelds. And it is also cheaper to develop.
