Maybe I'm an idiot but my grenades from the vehicle I jacked aren't killing the vehicles before I run out of ammo. Ignore troops up to that point. Drive through the roadblock, until you see the three cars - check range, set range accordingly, 4 grenades each are sufficient. You only run out of grenades if you fight the footsoldiers which can't really harm you, or if you don't zero in properly. You also can use normal handgrenades, just be sure that you have at least one grenade left in the vehicle (otherwise the mission "fails"). Edit: normal handgrenades take a long while though. Edit2: two tries for the vehicle mission, one try each for scuba and helicopter mission, and around a billion now for the infantery mission. Sigh.

Infantry controls feel excellent. CQB feels like Rainbow Six 3.

Game is heavily CPU-dependent. Arma 3 doesn't support hyperthreading (at least not yet) so your i7-920 is as good as an i5-750 in this situation. It's already bad enough that the clock speed isn't quite enough. It's not that i7-920 is bad, it's just that this game probably needs optimization. Just a heads up, if you're thinking of upgrading your CPU, Intel doesn't make anything for LGA 1366 sockets anymore. Need a new mobo. Edit I'm having way too much fun with seeing land mines blow people up. I'm a little worried for myself. <_<

Pretty sure I'm going to upgrade to Haswell this summer.

Also here is a very recent interview with Marek Spanel, the CEO of BIS, discussing the release. Some very interesting stuff in there:
