If you want a tl;dr: 1) Increasing authoritarianism of the Endogan government 2) Increasing focus on Islamism as opposed to Kemalist secularism 3) Disagreements over foreign policy and the alienation of both traditional Western allies/NATO and Middle East/Syria policy 4) The Kurds 5) (Recent) attempts by Endogan to curtail and limit the political power and independence of the Turkish military with top level appointments and other policies I will wait to see the outcome of the coup.

Then announces coup has succeed. But for now there is no such a thing. Even Prime Minister said "That was a coup TRY" IF they really tried to coup, they would shut down all communications except theirs. This is a parody to make Erdogan great again thanks, that's what i thought, overraction on internet as usual

Year is barely half over. There is still time for the dumpster fire to be toxic and radioactive.

Or maybe this is all just state theater set up by Erdogan to show how he can beat even coups.

Erdogan has proven himself an unstable and irrational man who stumbles from one egotistical blunder to the next. Almost getting into a war with Russia, Russian retaliation for shooting down their plane has brought bad economic consequences to Turkey. Playing chicken with Israel then being forced years later to sign a deal that basically 'erases' 7-8 years of bad relations because you're desperate for Israeli money and trade and intelligence information on Syria. Playing footsie with ISIS and other Islamist rebels in Syria and being pigheaded with the Kurds, bringing death and destruction to the streets of Turkey via terrorist attacks. An increasingly divided Turkish society along both racial/ethnic and religious/secular lines and an ever more authoritarian government. If he continues as president Turkey only has one way to go.

Turkey won't budge on the Kurds, that much you can expect will continue as the military is as hardline about them as you can possibly get. Depending on the outcome of the coup, the US/NATO wouldn't necessarily be upset if Endogan was replaced by a democratic leader that was more, eh, in line with our goals and interests in the region as opposed to Endogan's Islamism, authoritarianism, and regional bellicosity.
