I won't bash them to hard because I think they get that every time they spam their threads. I just hope they get good so at least they are interesting to watch.
You can't hate on the girl for wearing skimpy clothing. The entire point of their channel is try to score viewers via this girl. Its a gimmick, sex sells.
I think once she actually learns how to play computer games and shows a genuine interest in it outside of being forced into it, the cast could probably be great.
Hmm, that didn't sound very positive did it. I can sense the banhammer coming. I should tech burrow while I got the chance.
Anyways I wish you guys luck. I may not agree with your advertising tactics and exploitation of women but, I can respect your willingness to put yourself out there and try it. So kudos.
Maybe you shouldn't make too many assumptions about people. How do you know that I am being exploited? Yes, sex sells, but it's just a plus because I'm female. As for computer games (and maybe video games in general), I play them. I grew up with video games. I own a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Gamecube, Playstation, Playstation 2, and a Wii (too poor to get a ps3 right now dammit.) I've only gotten into computer games in the past few years. Aside from all that game playing, I also enjoy going shopping with friends and putting on makeup
Also, my gamer tag doesn't refer to anything sexual. It's a reference to Hello Kitty. It sounds a lot less weird introducing myself as Kitty rather than Hello Kitty
But thanks for the luck and I will continue on trying to get better at casting.

I enjoy your commentating style.
I must say, especially now with all the new "banlings" it is truly shocking that such sexist remarks such as "oh you have cleavage as your gimmick, i get it" etc is not being moderated, with the posters being penalized.
I am a new poster, but I doubt that it is good for your website to have such bigots posting freely.

good luck guys!
nice to see something different.

Gonna check that out when I am at home again. Always happy to see something different
lol @ McCain good capture - it's just manly, everybody does it.

lol, all the cleavage bashing comments are funny to read.
Anyways, as a guy with a social life, let me say right now that how kitty is dressed really isn't too uncommon for how girls dress now a days, and honestly i don't even find it that revealing, at all. Sure guys are gonna look at her breasts(i know i did lol) but really now, only being able to focus on that for the WHOLE length of her videos might be a hint that you need to learn to control yourself a bit more. A normal guy would perhaps feel slightly distracted for a bit and then move on. But only focusing on that until the video is over and then bashing her for dressing appropriate(at least imo) is probably not the right thing to be doing. Of course this is the internet, and boobs will be mentioned without a doubt, but that's really not kitty's fault.
So i checked the vids and i think you guys got a lot of learning to do.... But hey, you guys are new to this and that's completely normal. I really hope you guys keep this up so you can improve quickly. And while i don't judge you guys completely based on having a girl commentator, the fact that you DO have a girl commentator is really refreshing and definitely puts you on the map.
Good luck to you both.

Glad to see that you are really into doing this seriously, and Glad the advise seems to have helped.
I wish you guys all the best in your endeavour. TL seriously needs more people who want to make a serious impact on the community. Kudos to you two.

I sent some replays, you said you were going to cast them and then didn't, so I unsubscribed.

It's really more of sexism than bigotry and to be honest I understand it. Video Gaming, and especially Progamers are primarly males. I don't like anyone trying to capitilazie on us based purely on sexual appeal. I want GOOD esports casters not gimmicky ones.
Like I said before, wear a nerd t-shirt. Goto the Handsome Nerd or Jinx. There is no reason NOT to wear one because A. it supports the sport you are trying so hard to get into and B. it removes any sexual lure you may be using to draw in viewers.
Our token gaming nerd sex symbol has been filled, and her name is Olivia Munn.

If they weren't good they wouldn't have said they were going to cast them, obviously.

I watched one video for 30 seconds and you suggested that TLO's 1 rax -> CC was so that he could turn his CC into a planetary fortress to protect his base....I don't need to see more.
Kudos for having a girl or else you wouldn't be getting this much attention, but too bad it will take her 1-2 years to build up the knowledge and experience to commentate at any useful capacity.

the only reason i included that is because i can't believe people would consider what she wears to be that outrageous to the point that she gets bashed for being distracting.

Even if Day[9] is a nice and chill way to make up in the morning, with no need to even put on your cloths, it feels good to see professional.
I often prefere a womans voice, but in GomTV, i can't remember her name, but they had a female commentator for a short while. Perfect eyecandy, but she didn't contribute to the commentating. So i would love to see a professional, clever female commentator. Cleavage isn't all, SUIT UP!
Still, keep it going, you're doing great! =) Why does a woman have to dress "properly" while Day9 can be chronically under dressed? Being professional in an e-sports environment could be different from being a professional in a traditional sports environment why not embrace that fact. Nobody is sitting in front of the computer all dressed up. Because that's just how it is. Any female in a massively male majority community is going to get bashed for whatever reason. Wearing "non-revealing" clothing would have at least prevented most of the comments in this thread from being cleavage jokes. That's kind of a disgusting argument. It's the same line of reasoning that says a person deserved to raped because of what they wore. It excuses whatever irresponsible and immature behavior the guys display, while something that a person should have a personal choice with, whether in the public eye or not, is condemned as irresponsible. She wasn't really wearing anything out of the ordinary outside of this forum. If you're past puberty, then you're past *having* to stare whenever you see the slightest skin. I'm more concerned about the duo improving their casting... You can't hate on the girl for wearing skimpy clothing. The entire point of their channel is try to score viewers via this girl. Its a gimmick, sex sells. I think once she actually learns how to play computer games and shows a genuine interest in it outside of being forced into it, the cast could probably be great. Honestly, I dont understand how so many people think that is "skimpy clothing"?
Is it just because this is a video game forum? Because if someone was wearing the same thing anywhere else, nobody would mention anything. Hell, typical mid-teen girls go to school wearing far worse things than that... not to mention that the same outfit would have no issues in a work place. A news woman on TV right now in Tampa is wearing almost the same thing, except with an open dress-suit on top.
So why is it a problem here? No offense but some of the people here are acting like they have been sheltered and never seen a girl in years lol.
And on the topic of "using sex to sell"... how is that the case? How many videos do you even see either of them in? That's just silly.
