Criticism is allowed. Undue flaming is not. Take a second to think your post through before you submit. Bans will be handed out. Should go without saying, but don't link restreams here either.

I'm not sure how I feel about $20, but to say that the production being delivered, which is coupled with the cost of flying the players out and giving them a monetary reward, should be free is ridiculously childish.

EDIT: Appearantly I'm dumb as hells and ESL offers better prices for year round subscriptions I blame my lack of knowledge of European scene(aside from dream hack)

Won't pretend not to be disappointed I'll miss the Winter Arena though. I'm disabled and other stuff like good food must take priority for my limited cash. I'll also be more receptive to spending my time viewing other organizations' events - those that have found other more inventive and inclusive ways to monetise. I personally want to see more people viewing SC2 - and i'm not so sure of the benefits, at this early stage in the 'mainstreaming' of eSports, of PPV. Surely it wouldn't make that much difference to their income if they provided a x360 res stream for those of us without cash?

I don't mind paying for high quality and especially high level players.

And be a criminal - You completely shut yourself down there. Sorry MLG, 20 USD is too much compared to what I can get from GSL I won't get 20 hours of streams, as I'm in different timezone and I do have other plans during the weekend as well.. Guess the only way I can tell you that it's too much, is to not pay

Having 5000 people buy a $20 pass is a ton to ask though. Not sure if I want to pony up $20 or not.

When you think of the price in an esports perspective, its pretty damn expensive, but when you think of it in relation to the "real world", its a pretty good deal for 20 hours of content. Im going to hold out buying it until I can see the little teaser they promised, but I expect that MLG will present a quality product and make the product more than worth price. Hopefully this experiment will be successful and MLG can expand the quality even more so

MLG is a business. Dreamhack is one too. Yet everything is free for viewers. Th whole " paying is always fine " mentality is not better than " everything should be free ".

I dont know guys but if you want quality, well produced tournaments and esports to grow you need to accept things like this and realize that it is still cheaper than going to watch a movie... I quess this will only be an issue for young people who have no access to a credit card. Next to my home there are 2 complex that airs hollywood production for 3.5€. There are also 5 art cinemas for 3€, and I know the quality beforehand. If you ask me I'd rather watch Casablanca 5 times for 15€ than watch 20 hours of SC 2 for 20$.

Sundance also made a tweet saying "Tastosis". Don't know if it confirms them for the Arena or not. Having said that, $20 is too much. I would consider paying if it were $10.
