Insane amount of games and no information about any kind of stream being online for this = "I expected streams, OGN fucked up". Well, OGN usually streams at least some games from prelims, hence the expectations that there'd be some sort of stream. Also, there's a lot of hype because it's OSL, and it's their "first appearance" in the SC2 scene/big debut...so it's a really lackluster debut when you start off with an opaque qualifier where nobody has an idea what's going on and can't watch the goings down. Also, have you seen the player pool? This thing is HUGE. It is pretty much every code A/code S player + foreigner player in Korea. Anywhere else you'd have an outrage with that level of competition and no coverage.

Sad that so much of the SC2 forums are just flaming really insignificant things.

Granted someone was there that had casting experience, had time/willingness to cast for 12 hours for a few people and got access from OGN to spectate whatever game he/she/they wanted. Easy.

The tension comes from the fact that on day one kespa promised an english broadcast by the second week of PL. It's now the tenth or so week of proleague, and there is not a single word. Not even "sorry, it'll take us a couple of months to get it sorted out". Just silence. "It's really hard to set it up for a new competition" is also no excuse, neither is "they don't have the facilities", because they did have a fully working english broadcast for their first league of legends tourney, on the first day. Funny that, huh? They also had an english website up for it before the competition even started. Also they usually stream some of the games from the broodwar OSL prelims. So the fact they aren't for this, regardless of it being a new game or not, is a surprise and a step backwards. It's hard to not get the impression that they really haven't learnt, and really don't give a single shit.

I know hes not the #1 sc2 caster but he still does a pretty damn good and professional job, and I bet he would even do it for free if they asked him..

They never have, and now only are making steps when Korean Starcraft is dying and it's moved to the foreign scene. It's all about $$$, it's not because they care. If the money was still in the Korean scene, they would still be isolating themselves like in BW. Source: Brood War Good point, but following that logic wouldnt it make sense for them to stream their stuff with english commentary for us? They would make some $$$

If they want foreigner $$$ they need to make some effort to get foreigner eyes. They're not the only game in town.

I think the real reason why people are sad is due to the sheer amount of talent that is at OGN...There are a lot of great players in the prelims. When GSL did there prelims no one knew who was the cream and who was just another player. So the Prelims for GSL weren't as hyped. They should do a FAQ soon to let us know what we should be expecting. I understand this is there first tourney and there are always bumps when doing the first one.
