This Kespa statement doesn't conflict with that at all... OGN is still handling production for their matches and providing a feed of that to IEG, whom Kespa is using to provide their own English language broadcast that they are attempting to put together. Sounds like exactly what DoA claimed?

In fact, that is pretty much all he said... he just included his own personal disappointment in his writeup. Atleast i hope DoA will learn a lesson from his. if you don't have all the information u stfu and don't spread rumours.

Can you imagine Tasteless accusing GOM of dumping English casts and it getting any traction at all? Of course not, because GOM is open and reaches out to foreign fans, and thus has their trust and does well by them. Ofcourse. cause GOM needs foreigners. or they go doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooown.

He very well MAY have had all the information (from OGN's point of view, as of the time of that meeting). At the very least, the main gist of his post is still true. OGN will NOT be providing English commentary + stream. Some people may have taken his thread to mean that there wouldn't be any English cast at all for Proleague, but he did not actually say that. In fact, his title clearly said "No English OGN broadcast for SK Planet Proleague", but it's understandable that many could have just assumed that meant no English broadcast, period. But at the moment, that was all we were guaranteed, because Kespa has only NOW started to say something about English commentary + stream for Proleague. Anyways, I'm still pretty sketched out by Kespa. Their reputation + this whole kerfuffle suggests to me that we should be wary that they're up to their "old ways". Just my gut/emotional response, anyways

He probably should have waited it out a bit more before drawing drastic conclusions. I don't fault DoA for posting what he did. Wait? Until when? It's not like Proleague's start is in a week or something, it's tomorrow. For stuff like this to still be totally up in the air at this juncture with such little information available is horribly unprofessional. If anything, we finally got something concrete due to the controversy and outrage that topic caused.

From what it looks like, OGN was slated to provide the English commentary all along, and as of about 48 hours before the first match, Kespa looks to have completely altered the terms of their understanding because it wants to go with its own "IEG" broadcasting group solution. It reminds me Darth Vader's comment to Lando Calrissian in The Empire Strikes Back: "I am altering the deal. Pray I do not alter it further." (unnecessarily dramatic, but when a great Star Wars reference comes to mind, you've gotta use it!)

TeamLiquid @TeamLiquidnet No word on who the casters will be. Though, think about who in Korea can cast in English on short notice, and you have a pretty good ide.. At least KeSPA seems to be responding seriously to the situation. I guess.

Does OGN suddenly hate them and want them to fail or something? Also yeah, KeSPA's response to DoA made me laugh. Even if he was pretty stupid doing it, and unprofessional, they underestimate the community a bit on that one.

OnGameNet caster DoA, who wrote a distorted, easily misunderstood post based on one-sided misinformation, has apologized for has made a correction. The association plans to immediately respond to the spread of baseless rumors rooted in distorted information. Can anyone explain what this is referring to? Nothing they have in their release contradicts what he said as far as I can tell, they just seem to be mad that he aired dirty laundry from private negotiations. You can't blame him though, he's the one suffering from prolonged negotiations that cause him to be out of a casting gig... especially if the reason for the problems is as he says (KeSPA planted third caster and them trying to set up their own English production to simulcast separate from OGN's).
