just a kid with a terrible sense of humor.

I'm more disturbed by all of the comments defending him and saying chingchong isn't offensive.

If it wasn't offensive do you think there would be such a backlash?

People are making shitstorms in internet over such stupid things it wouldnt surprise me at all.

Ching chong has bad historical context for abuse of Asians, I doubt that svenskeren was being racist as much as he was being a moron though.
Comparing it to bork for swedes and eh for aussies like reddit have been doing is beyond hilarious though

Anyways I don't want to stick my dick into this any further, I watch and play league to avoid all this shit lel.

I think that's a matter of cultural differences, I sometimes use it while being silly with my vietnamese-german friends and none of them take it as offensive. I am pretty sure it has the same connotation in Denmark (a light mockery with jokeish intention) so it is understandable if he didn't expect that kind of backlash.

ye because they are your friends, if you randomly said it to me on the street without knowing me I'd be offended (viet-german, too)
edit: to be fair I'd probably most likely shrug it off and think off you as an immature little kid, because it's such an uncreative way to offend someone. Then again I've always thought that's exactly what Svenskeren is.

Yes, that makes sense :-). It absolutely depends on the context and while I personally don't feel offended by some guy with for example an "anti-german" username of similarly stupid nature I can see why others might be. I just don't think that he had malicious intent when he chose that name, questionable sense of humor and naivity aside.

On a less tense note IEM San Jose announced to have LoL with 2 NA, 2 EU and 2 South American teams. Sadly Brazil will not be graced with the glory of their Korean overlords

The fact Sven asked that poor high school kid if he liked his name, making extra sure to point out it included "ching chong" I think makes it pretty clear he did it on purpose.
Intentional or not he's a fucking dumbass for naming himself that. I'll be stunned if Riot doesn't suspend him - if any athlete was playing in Taiwan and made a joke of that nature they'd get punished hard. Way to fuck your team over right before worlds.
