OK, thought one! If you're using the random 2.0 layout, try this for control groups (this is really just for Terran): J and 0, production and CCs respectively. 9, O, L - chunks of army, so drops or scouting units. Basically drops ^^. I like this because it really prioritises the drops, and if you're playing Terran you'll be doing this a lot. I changed I (stop) to a control group. I'm using this mainly for mines. All the other control groups, Y, H, M, I use the same way as my mines group - units that will mostly stay with the main army and have skills you need to press fast, like Ghosts, Ravens, etc. Units with skills or that you need to kite with, like Vikings. The last thing I want to mention is the new way The Core is using shift and ctrl. When the latest version came out, I took all the changes but kept the old ctrl shift cause by that point I was just too used to it. But I've been thinking lately about why I was right to do so! When you're adding units to groups, you're mostly using shift. Say you're in a panic situation. You're being attacked and your marines are rallying to their deaths. You grab one, you shift grab the next group and then you move command back and add them to your control group. The way that you do this with the new Core is you would shift grab them, then control add them, which is awkward in a tricky situation. The nice this about the new layout is it's very easy to send units out by shift clicking them out of the wireframe, then redefining without lifting your thumb. But it's actually pretty easy if ctrl shift is your 'define' combo. You just shift click out, then shift your thumb down so it's on shift ctrl. I just realised right now how what I'm saying might not work for other people. It might not work if you're ACTUALLY using shift ctrl ^^. Even when I was using the Core on the right side of the keyboard I used the app key for ctrl (because, I've come to accept, I have small hands). So ... bear that in mind, I guess. I would recommend either binding the app key to ctrl or spacebar if your keyboard can do it, or authotkey can do it. I'm pretty sure autohotkey can. The script would look, I think, like this: AppsKey::^ return Possibly the ^ would be written as ctrl, or control in this instance, I'm not sure, but it should be easy to find out. I just realised something else. Sorry, this is fragmented, I just wanted to share my thoughts, and get back to getting my ass kicked on ladder. In the old Core, shift didn't add to groups, because it was used for camera hotkeys. I set it up like that, because I'm not using it for camera, so I thought, well might as well. My camera hotkeys. Obviously with this setup I can't do the nice camera hotkeys the core has. I've layered them over the abilites, so it's O, [, 9, =, l, ', and alt 0 for rally points. That's only seven but I haven't found a use for the eigth yet. Here's a cool trick I've found. If you're careful, you can use modifier combos. So I have select army on alt ctrl (which this I can select everything, control click out Ghosts, mines, whatever and then ctrl add the remainder to my army. It feels pretty nice. I define my rally hotkey with alt ctrl shit (that's pressing alt then pressing ctrl shift). I snap camera to CCs with ctrl shift alt (that's pressing ctrl shift then pressing a, so the opposite of the rally cam combo). And that's it, though it leaves alt ctrl and ctrl alt left to play with if I can think of anything. If anyone wants to do anything like this just be sure not to set anything as ctrl shft or shift ctrl or you'll be constantly doing what every it is you set it as. This is another thing that is easier to do if you move everything to the middle of the keyboard. If you have shift and ctrl on n, say, and space repectively, you can hit alt with the palm of your hand. I'm starting to realise this post sounds less like a 'I have a contribution' and more like one of those 'look at my hotkeys!' posts. But I'm genuinely convinced this is a worthwhile thing to consider. But it won't be for everyone. Holy fuck, this is an essay. Goodbye!

@Fission: 2.0 is the latest version of TheCore. It has a few improvements over 1.0 and is better structured. @.Wilsh: Try to set something in the 'global' section to ctrl+P and check how many hotkeys are unbound due to this. If it is more than 1, you have a hotkey conflict somewhere. Otherwise, you can simply rebind ctrl+P to the correct 'add to CG' function. Maybe this solves the problem.

a while ago i saw a hotkey trainer, that doesn't need SC2. Just a small programm. I can't find a working one anymore. Does anybody have an idea? Preferably with the possibility, to either alter the hotkeys or load the hotkey file from SC2, since I altered the Core a bit.

Is it just me or is the suggested queen hotkey (group 8) a bit our of the way? Having to move my ring finger over my pinky seems like a very hard movement for me and it's such an often used control group.

Good idea. I want to at that it might also be some 3rd party software. Most likely a media player, VOIP software or some other hotkey programm (mouse/keyboard software) Try to close all programms that run in the background. Check your system tray icons next to your system clock in the task bar to find programms that start minimized. Then go ingame and check, if this fixes the problem.

Of course, feel free to use your CGs the way you prefer Fair enough. I rebound it to the CG button to the left of inject. Hopefully I am not upsetting the gods of efficiency

There is no difference between github and drop box currently. Not sure what you're asking concerning cameras.
