Time to put money where my mouth is and bet on the Dubs! No kidding. Lebron has only looked mortal vs the West for his whole career. This is just another year where that seems to ring true. Makes me wonder what his career would look like if he was drafted by a team like Minnesota or Sacramento instead of Cleveland.

to be fair though injuries aren't helping the hawks either. their bigs are banged up, the two guys they'd like to put on Lebron are both out/hurt (sef/Carroll), Korver is hurt

When the seemingly inevitable happens, it will be a bit unfair to say "Lebron is overrated".

He get arm locked and pulled down by Horford and then tripped over Carroll who's on the ground. And it's a pattern of behaviour? Come on you numb nuts!

+ Show Spoiler + Personally I think he's just playing hard, albeit recklessly, but eh...

He's throwing his body around, but what coach wouldn't expect that in a similar circumstance? It's the first thing you're taught in a loose ball situation like that: dive for it. I feel bad for Korver. It was one of those things that happens in sport. People are giving Delly too much credit to think he can dive after (and save possession FWIW) at a loose ball like that and intentionally injure his opponent at the same time. I mean, really? The Horford one he tripped over Carroll. Horford obv didn't see that and thought he was attacking his knee which is why he reacted. It was dumb by Horford and he said as much. If the refs don't overreact and just blow a flagrant one this isn't an issue.

On the Korver play, Korver is the one who fucked up by continuing to run at a loose ball. Delly made the correct play, Korver messed up by trying to stay upright. I don't know if Delly is that way normally since I hated watching the Cavs this season, and obviously the leg lock with Gibson was a bit dirty (even though Gibson elbowed him first) but I really don't think you can fault him for either of those two plays this series, or even say that he was reckless. One he had no control over, and the other he played correctly. Every team in the league has at least a few guys who dive for balls, and fans outwardly wish every player in the NBA dove like that. Say Korver doesn't get hurt on that play and instead just misses on the loose ball, then fans would be criticizing Korver for not fighting hard enough on a loose ball.

Horford is basically saying Delly shouldn't try so hard, which is basically what more talented people say when they don't like getting outworked. Delly isn't doing Bill Laimbeer shit and I don't think he's been as dirty as that Olynyk play. Horford sounds like Roger Dorn in Major League.

And it wasn't just an injury or cramps. He's been doing it his entire career if he thinks the non-call is outrageous enough.
