I hope it won't take 1.5 years to get season 3 though, that would be cruel -.-

That said it got stale really fast and I bet they didn't put too much time into it since The Man made them do it. On interviews I've seen with them they said they really enjoyed doing it and that it will likely become their Treehouse of Horror. Overally Series 2 wasn't as good as Series 1 for me. Still lots of great moments but the whole thing felt a little more deflated. Top quality show though.

I wonder if the Creators are having troubles with the network or there must be some real internal struggles going on. Rick and Morty, and Gravity Falls are the only shows I watch regularly now and both release episodes so infrequently it's hard on my soul. I'm ready to wait on condition that the quality doesn't go down. It's better to wait for 10 brilliant episodes than watch stupid fillers every week.

Mr Meeseeks for example will get another episode in season 3. I am completely fine with that, because i think they hardly explored some of their crazy and very good ideas in these episodes.

I rewatch some episodes last weekend and that Unity episode is my favourite. + Show Spoiler + It has nothing to do with Unity. Basically, his constant distractions serve to soothe the empty void within him. He feels so dead inside that even a fluid that LITERALLY brings inanimate objects to life, still can't make him feel alive himself. No more so than the constant drinking and inventions do. Unity was the closest he came to feeling happy, and now even that has been corrupted by his touch. In the end, he is alienated further by his refusal to accept that he can be loved for him, and not for how he makes people feel. When unity wrote him the breakup letter, it made him revisit that dark side of his soul that he runs from on a daily basis. He's further from happiness than he's ever felt. THIS - is why Rick is depressed, and he knows its nobody's fault but his own.
