You should probably write what MU you're talking about. PvZ you can go 1 gate 3rd. (or one gate, and tech for harass) and 3rd. PvT you can go 1 gate expo into stargate and 3rd. It takes some practice to pull off. PvP you need a fair bit more, but we've seen early 3rd by pro players lately. Very early. Before 4 mins. Edit: It CAN be done safely, but this doesn't mean that you should do it. Because if you are in gold league or something, YOU wont be able to do it safely. Because you wont have the scouting, response and control needed to defend anything they can throw at you more than 50% of the time.

Send adepts into his main and nat. Two each. Once VR ability is on cooldown you check if you can beat his army. If you can, you re-engage and win. If not you make more stalkers. If the game goes on go templar and get storm for easy win.

And you have to pressure your opponent when landing your 3td, containing him on 3 bases is pretty mandatory.

The only times I've seen people hold adept phoenix was by building up a very bio heavy army composition with reactor factory widowmines. Liberators can help but aren't essential. What's important is that you build a few turrets to snipe observers and position the mines so that when the adepts phase shift in on top of your army the mines will go off and target massive amounts of adepts and you will hopefully be able to dps the rest of his army down. As of right now marines are much better than marauders vs adepts because of their dps.

I just came back to playing SCII and usually played on low. Is this still the best option for most players?

Thanks (I swear there was a dedicated mouse/mousepad thread somewhere?). Also as above, best graphic settings? This is an absolutely 100% personal preference. No one mouse mat is best for anyone. I've always used a hard mousemat, but they're harder to get hold off in good quality and size. I think soft is more popular atm. You really just have to try them and get a feel for which type you like the most. As for models. If you want a hard one, Steelseries 4hd (or preferably the larget 9hd which I think has gone out of production) is awesome. If you want a soft one, make sure to get one that doesn't slit your wrists (surprising amount out there that feels really uncomfortable around the edges). The Xtrfy soft is really good, and the NiP version has some really nice covered edges (maybe other special editions have that too, I dunno)

No best setting, just make sure you don't lag from performance issues.
