Nothing about sc2. The internet at large generally brings this quality out in people. You'll find it in any online game you've ever played. While I haven't played sc2 in a while, I'd wager the community at large is much better than Dota, Lol, cs:go or overwatch is atm, if only because you don't have to deal with these "scum" as your teammates for an entire game.

But emotions run high in any fast-paced, competitive game. Offset in games with older populations.

So they OS marines instead of 2shot them? Is marine tank still viable in TvT? I started playing again and I met a lot of lazy terrans who went for mech, this plus tankivac nerf plus giant ass maps make for a lot of wasted time in TvT :/.

Just earlier i played a TvT and killed a tank with one turret.

I have it hotkeyed to C, I have tried keeping my finger on it whilst mouse clicking, I have tried pressing it each time before I click and I am always just selecting my opponents units. I feel like I'm going crazy here. edit: nvm found out how, bind 'Choose Ability or Ai Target' to the corrosive bile key.

I tried imbabuilds but they stopped updating after hots. The X race help me threads are incomplete, and so is liquipedia. Just got back into the game after a long hiatus, I would like a macro build + a cheese build for each race (or better yet, each matchup) so I can get past platinum. Currently just playing by feel, for example TvX I open reaper FE into 2 medivac drop at 5 something minutes every game, but against diamond protosses they usually deflect it easily putting me behind, whereas pros usually open with a factory right after the first reactored rax in TvP.

You can find a lot at spawningtool.com. They recently partnered up with PiG and TL to bring more detailed guides. They also have some sort of overlay program to follow the builds in-game.

On ladder, I beat a named player who went for a cheese strat. Then I was matched against a barcode, and lost to the same strat, and after the game I saw that the player was the same guy from my previous game. (In the game stats, plus the guy messaged me.) How does he simultaneously have a regular and a barcode name? How does this work?

Very much a noob, only been playing a couple of weeks Question: I've found the Micro game on arcade (dark something, forget the name, has marine split, double marauder survive, etc), and I know about SALT. What other good mods and arcade games are out there for newbie training purposes? Question: I found a build I want to learn on youtube, but it doesn't have SALT encoding and the guy who made it doesn't know how to encode. How can I do this or show him to? Link to tutorial maybe? Question: For Marine Patrol split, is setting it up as a rapidfire the way to go, or just normal targeting? Question: I've seen people post they have played against someone of X rank or league that wasn't in theirs. How do you know your opponents' rankings other than seeing the MMR at the score screen? Question: I've only had limited time and have only played substantially as Terran. How much should I play as other races to learn them? Should I halt my ranked multiplayer and do a bunch of Vs. AI with each race before continuing? Thanks in advance!

When i see some pro do cool stuff like pickup micro or target banelings, it's super easy to just launch the map and recreate the situation. Only downside is the opponent won't micro well of course, but you can start the map with another player. There should be a tutorial on how to use SALT somewhere? I don't like using third party programs for build orders but you might wanna check this out : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/518077-spawning-a-new-partnership Pretty sure patrol splits with rapidfire wouldn't work well, i don't even personally use patrol for splits. MMR tiers are listed here: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Battle.net_Leagues Not up to date but close to accurate. Never trust the league border on loading screens, MMR is the best way of telling your opponent current level (unless new account, or offracing/started playing again after a long break) Too often i look at streams and players see a border above their level then complain about matchmaking if they lose, or get super happy when they win...except most of the time the opponent has way lower MMR than his actual rank. Sure, his peak level is higher than yours but his current form clearly isn't. But if that person actually has 300+ MMR you can forget that loss and move on because you shouldn't really win :p Probably better to stick with one race at the beginning, especially with limited time. Gotta get to learn macro first
