I'm not even mad that I already own a set of Tarns, Guides, Mesa, Snaps, etc. I think this is just good for the game and I don't think the prices will tank that much. There will be a fake price drop, and then people go into eternal formats, then they fall in love with the deck, then they want to have it either all foiled up or all original cards, one thing leads to another and suddenly prices spike again.

ZEN fetches will certainly not stay upwards of $50,for example, especially given the prices of the KTK/ONS fetches as a point of comparison.

You definitely cannot compare something reprinted in a large set against something reprinted in limited print run insane pack prices modern masters (cough goyf cough). Ok goyf was mythic but that really doesn't change that much.

There have been distributors who have come out and said that wotc has told them any time they need to reorder product will be available. Also its not like Ema or mm2 were particularly hard to find or 'limited' beyond the first couple weeks. Also goyf being mythic actually does change things a fair amount. If the fetches were being reprinted at mythic for some reason then I'd say prices wouldn't drop a ton.

In the case of Goyf this isn't that significant because they're expensive either way, but even if ZEN fetches hold value, MM fetches being $10-15 cheaper would be pretty relevant.

No disagreement that the new cards will be cheaper than the old. I think the main disagreement is that this will make it "cheaper" to be an eternal player--which is not very accurate. Most often people who play eternal very much transition into developing the perfect versions of their decks--this usually leads to foils, foreign printings, etc... more often than not, these sets don't help in that market except for Force of Will.

You want to land and secure a walker or two then hold up instant speed interaction for the combo and for vehicles. So for your list, I would add more instant speed interaction. I would trim wraths and sorcery removal (not Oath of Chandra) Those are good calls. Although I mainly just play in MTGO random mode, not standard league or anything. So the opposition in my experience is not necessarily the tier 1 decks most of the time. That's why I bring the wraths but yes changes could probably be made.

We got lucky with the box EV due to the mythics. Rares were underwhelming, only 2 fetches with the rest forgettable.

As someone who ran a deck with a good BUG matchup and a bad miracles matchup I am excited. As someone who cares about the longevity of Legacy I am concerned...

Ban announced monday, and put in place Monday because Amonkhet released on MODO monday. Copycat gets 40% of the 5-0's in leagues over 48 hours (such sample size, I know) and they do an emergency ban on cat instead of saheeli because... reasons?
