Yet, a real tournament with a (however sized) prize pool and casters and a little show and rivalry attached to it is still the best boost to the community.

EDIT: And yes, I would like Koreans to be included as well, maybe like every other tournament foreigner only and every other open for all?

I understand why people are against foreigner only tournaments from a viewer perspective but in the longer run we want both kinds of tournaments to give players the choice.

In addition to region restriction, the best format would be to have it single-elimination with a best 2 of 3 (until Semis which will be best 3 of 5). How about maps? Any suggestions? I'll relay all your awesome suggestions to my team and see if we can move forward with this. It's definitely awesome to see the enthusiasm and support from the Starcraft community for this. Thank you to you all, for taking the time to give us your feedback. It's very much appreciated.

I also feel that this is probably the best route to go; however, in addition to the region locked tournaments, I think having a global one where there would be no restrictions would be awesome. standard map pool: Circuit Breaker, Fighting Spirit good, known maps but not so overly-played: Sniper Ridge, Overwatch, Outsider, Match Point, Jade, Electric Circuit, Demian, Blue Storm, Aztec older but still playable maps: Destination, Longinus, Tau Cross

I also think it would be cool to add at least 1 foreigner made map. I tried to think about balance and variation between player # (2, 3 or 4), style (standard or non-standard), and tilesets. Here's an example: Standard 4-Player: Circuit Breakers Standard 2-Player: Odd-Eye Non-Standard 3-Player: Triathlon Non-Standard 4-Player: Electric Circuit Foreign Map (Standard or non) Another example: Standard 4-Player: Eye of the Storm Non-Standard 2-Player: Monte Cristo Non-Standard 3-Player: Pathfinder Standard 4-Player: Grand Line Foreign Map (Most likely standard)
