It's for the greater good of eSports in general. Even if you don't watch the daily religiously, vote for Day9. A vote for Sean is a vote for eSports. The shorty awards do get some media coverage as well, so thats a really good thing.
We (you) can't wait for eSports to happen in the mainstream, you have to proactively make it happen. Voting is one easy way for a person to help the cause.
Lol, he really is running for EPresident of Esports.
It's impossible to keep up with a guy who has ½ a million 15 year olds ready to obey his every command. Whenever Day9 gets ahead, Seananners will just make another video and get more people to vote.
Actually the smartest thing to do, would be for everyone to save their vote for the very last day, then all just vote, putting day9 in first place. That way, our CoD friend wont have the time to order his army to vote for him, and Day9 wins.

One can not outsmart SC2 community. o.o
I have no Twitter account. And getting one now won't allow me to vote. Eh...
The judges actually do look at the reasons you put down for why you vote and weigh them, so putting "I nominate @day9tv for a Shorty Award in #gaming because SeaNanners is a faggot" down as a reason is probably not a good idea. (Yeah, some people have done this)
It would be great if we could somehow consolidate all the votes in the SC2 community. I mean, no offence to the others running, but Day[9] is the only one who stands a chance at this point. Maybe Husky, HD, Tastosis, etc. could help Day[9] out?

If that's true, SeaNanners basically has no votes. What I see from skimming the first page:
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because... HE'S SEANANNERS, THAT IS ALL."
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because... he oozes Awsum Sauce"
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because... he is epic at Black Ops ."
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming"
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because...I want to"
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because... just because."
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because... because"
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because... idk"
"I nominate @SeaNanners for a Shorty Award in #gaming because...he looks like mike poser"

Seems most people on TL haven't ever had any reason to make a Twitter account, and any made after the start of the competition don't count.

You can vote for as many people as you want, that's why Husky is telling his viewers to vote for day9, totalbiscuit, and himself.

Get one now and start following day9 and related channels. That way you can vote in future competitions and stuff.
You ugys all realize this will be picked by the twittwe people at the end? I think even if Day wins the vote, another person will win it, my bet is on total biscuit.
wow, after learning about SeaNanner from the Shorty Award, i figured he was alright guy...
But seriously,
he's just begging his viewers for vote, and begging isn't even an exaggeration. Followed by a sappy story about his first girlfriend trying to garner sympathy..
If only I made a Twiiter account before this -___-"

I watch Seananners' videos about as much as I do Day9's dailies. What can I say, I'm pretty boss at Black Ops.
That said, I don't think you're interpreting the video too well. All of Seananners' videos are just like this one, where he just makes small talk while he plays the game. The sappy girlfriend talk is just one of the many random topics that he talks about as he plays the game so I don't think he's trying to garner any more sympathy than usual. He's trying to relate to his viewers just like Day9 does.
I voted for Day9 just like everyone else in this thread, but I don't think it's fair that people are bagging on Senanners for reasons like "Durr cuz it's Black Ops" or about the content of his videos.
Shooters aren't like RTS, you can't comment or critique about the flaws or skills of a player who plays a shooter besides pointing out the obvious. That's why there is no in-depth analysis for Black Ops.
seen some videos of that other kid and the video follows the same simple pattern - beg for the vote and tell an emotinal story or tell an emotional story beg for the vote. But yeah everyone does this kinda - even day9 asks people to vote for him but not as often and not as annoying than that other kid. I wish i had a twitter account so i could vote for day9, but actually iam pretty happy that i wasnt sucked into the whole facebook/twitter/soical network bullshit.
