I think day[9] puts a lot more effort into his show we can enjoy every day. If we all hope he wins but don't act...i doubt he wins ;-) Oh...& bump you cant vote if your twitter account is newer than the tournament T.T

I mean, only 35 pages. This seems like a very well hidden thread.

This guy has been a hero of the community for what? almost a decade? Absolutely no one has given so much back and yet so rarely asked for anything in return. No one has the passion for e-sports that Sean does - yet without that passion tl as we know it would not exist. Its unfathomable that even though day[9] has said he wants this award Sooooo badly and is so close to achieving it that this hasn't been spotlighted, and that a thread which could be viewed more widely at the crucial moment has been shut down. I'm actually shocked.

I'm actually shocked. A decade? Oh boy. All the craze started with his commentary on the Chill versus Combat-Ex series and then came the dailies. People always wanted more. I couldn't believe how amped up he was to be casting those games between Chill and Combat-Ex. Honestly I thought Sean was high as a kite because I've never heard or seen him so psyched out for a match. Then again most guys from the BW community absolutely hated Combat-Ex and everything he stood for at that time, so I guess it should come as no surprise. Sean's always been a great guy though. I've known him for a really long time and I must say he was always the life of the party. His contributions are nothing short of extraordinary; although, I do have beef with some of his expressions/sayings like 'blunder' have spread like a wildfire. o;

SC would not be as awesome without you.

Finalists for this category will be announced on Tuesday, February 15 while we audit the votes. The Real-Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences will use a combination of criteria to select the winner from among the finalists, including the number of votes, the reasons given in nominations, answers to the Shorty Interview (which you can still take here) and the content of the finalists' tweets. This is good news for us for many reasons, just read the reasons on nanners nominations. The Audit also means they will weed out accounts made just for voting ect. and by judging from what I have read on seananners channel there are alot of these, also people voting multiple times on multiple accounts so his numbers are more than likely greatly inflated. EDIT: Also it seems you can endorse him now (You can still submit a tweet to show your support of anyone, but it won't count toward the rankings.) Just mention the daily #100 or his dedication to e-sports and please don't just put because HE IS TEH AWESOME! Leave that for seananners fans.

All the judges really have to do is watch daily 100. But I will admit its frustrating to see this CoD youtube caster get the #1 spot. All the guy did was take advantage of a mainstream title and milk it for his own profit. It blows my mind that he thinks he deserves this award.

If he really thinks he deserves the award more than day9, he is very arrogant imo. I've been following both for a while and this is almost rediculous to compare both. This might be bad for gaming reputation to promote a game that isn't even eSports.

Yeah sure, we all like Day[9] here but don't be so snobbish about his competitor in the popularity contest just because he casts a mainstream title? " All the guy did was take advantage of a mainstream title and milk it for his own profit."? Really? Because casting a mainstream game means you're taking advantage of it, as we all know(!) and casting games free of charge, man, what a moneywhore. EDIT: I think I should stay on topic rather than start an argument, so fingers crossed for Day[9]. Even if I think his dailies go on for far too long, I can't deny how much he has done for StarCraft.

This award is about the use of real-time and social media (like Twitter). They award people who utilize these tools cleverly and produce content while integrating it with said social media. This is NOT an award about whose merits for gaming are greater.

This guy is making hundreds of dollars for every video he uploads just from ad revenue. Someone with 500k+ subscribers can make well over 100k a year if he consistently puts up videos. Which isn't hard when your frapsing yourself play a video game. More importantly, what has this guy done besides upload videos to youtube? Day9 has attended and casted countless tournaments, organized the king of the beta tourny, and is involved in numerous e-sports projects (most of which are not announced). When it comes to the development of the gaming community and "social media", I don't see how Seananners can say with a straight face that he has contributed more.

What other CoD caster have you seen that has anywhere near as many votes? 0.o he's obviously doing well and people like and enjoy watching him. I do agree that Day[9] deserves it but theres no point in getting mad over it. And he has contributed alot, seriously, he has a hell of alot of videos 193 on his account and more on machinima. just because you(i'm assuming)don't like cod, doesnt mean that he hasn't put a lot of effort into it.... and are you seriously suggesting that he started making videos thinking that he would make enough money to live on? really? hmm... even so.....
