Short Description:
wT Weekly is a weekly competition hosted in the SEA region attracting many of the top tier of SEA and some internationals. This week is the final week we are running it for 2012, so we have bumped the prizepool up to $100 attracting the top tier of SEA to partake.
Notable signups include: Nv.mOOnGLaDe, iM.Mafia, iM.Light, fray'Hut, Nv.Rossi, Tt.PiG, Flash.Blysk, xGKing.KingKong and many more to come before Monday.
The tournament will be a single elimination Bo1 until Ro8 where it will shift to Bo3s. The top 3 placeholders will receive cash.
I will be hosting the event on my stream (www.twitch.tv/baldie24), having casted SEA Masters Cups, Intel Extreme Masters Qualifications and various showmatches in the past. Thousands of years ago the Mayans plotted a calendar that spanned countless generations to come. A calendar which predicted that one day the world would end. Scholars of today claim that day is to be the 21st of December, 2012.
Recent studies and research have brought to light a startling new understanding of the Mayan calendar. It is not the end of the world that is upon us within months, but the end of Wings of Liberty.
Brought to you by the team behind the Rumble in the Bronze events of the past two years, and hosted by Gameheart, "The End of Liberty" is a charity fundraiser event raising money for the Child’s Play charity through a collection of exciting show matches, custom games, and general Starcraft 2 shenanigans. The aim of this event is to provide the community with some entertainment during the holiday season, and to promote the wonderful work that the Child’s Play charity does, especially around this time of year. Last year our event raised over $18,000, and with your help, we can top that this year.
Casting the event will be Evil Genusis' Geoff ‘iNcontrol’ Robinson and Australian Shawn ‘Seguer’ Murphy. The duo will be accompanied by a cohort of other well known Starcraft 2 players, including, but not limited to:

Two players will be picked up from a recruitment tournament scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 22nd. The tournament will follow the standard best of three, single elimination format.
If you are accepted into The Academy there are several perks. 1st Stage: Team format
16 players will be drawn into 4 groups as 4 teams. Teams fight in a single elimination bracket, 3/4 place match will be played.
2nd stage: individual
The results in 1st stage will make effects: advance numbers. from 1st to 4th will get 3, 2.5, 1.5, 1 players into Ro8.
Each team will have a single elimination bracket.
(Top3, 2, 1, 1 advance into ro8)
The last spot will be determined by a extra match between 2nd place team's 3rd player and 3rd place team's 2nd player.
