So he comes running out the garage with a .30-06 kicked the fucking ball down the driveway and unloaded an entire clip into it and walked away. This here just seems ridiculous. Should have played at a public court

A kid getting pissed at their parents and typing shit to their friends bitching about it is normal. If your kid does not hate you at some point in their life, then you might be doing something wrong, but what the father does is just childish and stupid. This is not a grown-up way to punish or solve problems in life. indeed it will only emotionally batter the kid and make them feel like a hostage. maybe thats how tough love works. beat the kid down mentally until they develop Stockholm syndrome. I never forgot the day my dad whipped my ass on Christmas for crying like a spoiled brat because I didn't get any PS2 games with my PS2. I was humbled a bit by that event.

I've had plenty of jobs that have shown me what happens when kids don't get parented. She will grow up a better person because of this. I'd rather every parent be like this, than how most of em are where I live.

Trying to understand why she feels that way is the first step. Taking away her laptop won't fix the underlying problem. I think he does understand why she feels this way - because she's selfish and spoiled? On February 11 2012 12:10 Drascus wrote: There are two children in this situation, the girl and the dad both. An adult shouldn't need to fire a gun into some expensive property to deal with a situation. How is he going to expect his daughter to ever become a responsible, well mannered adult if he models tantrum behavior to her? Because that's what he did, was throw a big tantrum. How is that a tantrum? He clearly explains why she's punished and the consequences. He's not out of control or enraged, he just decides to break his laptop. A+ dad.

1) money 2) time 3) raising a "rebel" teenager would kill me PS: I think that was dumb he shot the laptop. It was funny and I'm sure his viewers got entertainment out of it, but I would of just sold the laptop to someone. I always have to remind myself that money doesn't grow on trees. Sometimes I want to smash and break my stuff out of anger, but then I think to myself "What does that accomplish? Now I have to buy a brand new <insert broken item>"

Also, it's ridiculous for him to want her to pay him back for the bullets he just fired into her laptop or the software he just made useless by firing those bullets. I don't know what the general situation is at that house, but I have far more sympathy for the kid than the father.
