Whelp.
Save corruption sucks, I'm pvping in BoB arena, game crashes on loading screen, and now whenever I try to load that save it causes the game to crash.
There goes my favorite PvP char and 30 hours :-(.
On the brighter side, Lighting Greatclub (with sunlight blade) with broadsword in the offhand is a really fun and effective pvp combo. Just mixing up the really fast attacks, with multiple different slower ones makes for a really unpredictable and fun way to play. The hitbox on the club is just delicious too.
The fake run away to heal into smush them as they chase you around a corner always makes me happy too.
Red Invading in Belfrey Sol is alot of fun too, you get 1v1v2 situations alot, which often turn into a 2v2 and then a 1v1 once the grey's get stomped ^.^.
Kinda sad that I have to farm skeptic spice again for sunlight weapon :-(. That's going to be the least fun part of rebuilding my character. NG+++++ Gargoyles gets kinda tricky. Also losing 100 cracked red orbs really sucks :-(.

The legend continues. Are you using the Bino-glitch for speed boosts? No just running from the one ramp near the entrance of IK to the other one playing ring around the rosey.
Pathetic!

At this point as a Sword+Board character, should I invest in INT+Faith to get a spell or two? I"m aiming toward a buff spell. What I did was started buffing faith, and lightning infused my greatsword. I use GMB and Sunlightblade. I like having the lightning damage, and the option of others spells if I feel like it, I don't know if it was worth it though. I think in the long rung (NG+ and on) it helps the scaling since you have so many spare points, but I think for NG my time would be easier if I had just pumped vigor, put more points into STR/DEX instead.

What does ringing the bells do? I have played the game on NG+++ and always rung the bells but I am not sure what it did.

The one in Belfry Luna opens the gate to the rooftop fog door / Garg fight.

Both bells open up their respective gratings that block the fog gates.
In addition I think? When you ring it it boosts your chance to be grey invaded by alot. Could be just coincidence though.

I was summoned by this guy who had this cool black armor with some fur lining. It wasn't too bulky. Anyone have a clue which chest piece it was? Sorry don't have more info on it

Did it have some sort of wing spikes off the back? If so that's a chest piece from the covenant of blood NPC (kill him and take his stuff, buy the rest of his stuff in town). It certainly is dark and has a fur-like top lining, but it's sort of a clothes/cloak/robey look. E: Picture link http://darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/Nahr Alma Set#.U3625hZhv1o

This makes me want to Red invade in the Belfries again. I love behaving like a white phantom and teaming up with the host against grays for half a dozen kills. They never expect.

I think that's it, thanks for the link!

Llewelyn is a pretty good set, medium weight and good weight/defense/fashion ratio. You can farm the whole set by killing the sort of gargoyles statues with red eyes that spawn just before the mirror knight bossfight, there is a bonfire just near to respawn them.
|
By the way, you can skip credits from NG++ :D (not in NG+ I think I tried to skip them)

I think my game is broke, 2nd character run through but I can't get the golem to absorb the soul to open the door to the looking glass knight. I've killed the soldiers so close i basically dodged so i would be pushing them into the golem with my attacks.

You probably killed the soldiers already in previously before dying. Try walking onto the elevator switch and see if it works. Or if there is a wierd screw thing there, wait the thirty seconds needed for it to stop screwing and pull the handle nearby to put the elevator back down. Elevators in this game take so ridiculously long, it's as if the designers think waiting to move to new areas is fun.
|
Supposedly all those long elevator waits and door waits are all so you don't notice an area loading.
|
Nevermind I'm a dumbie, the keys with the embedded and the girl.
