The easiest way to win PvT at low levels is to first open with a 21 nexus or 3 goon fe opening. Follow this up with an observer and more gates until your gates total 3. If you scout that the terran is going for a timing push with your observer add gates, get zealot speed, get a shuttle and mass units while delaying the terrans push until you can crush his army. If terran is going for drops go 2 base arb. If terran is going for a third base take your own third and tech to arbiter. Don't get cannons until around the time you take your 4th base. Your goal is to have a maxed army with a few arbiters, 4 going on 5 bases and a lot of gates in your main and a few building in your second main when the terran begins pushing with his 2-1 200/200 army. From this point on focus on not getting emp'd and remaining 1 base above terran at all time. If terran kills one of your bases kill one of his to stay in the game. Watch his army move and only engage if you are sure he is not managing it well and you can have a nice battle. You can make the late game very hard by terran by threatening backstabs, taking expo's, and recalling. So long as you don't donate your army and you stay ahead economically you should naturally win.

I know lockdown and optic flare do, but I forget about maelstrom, stasis, etc.

In other words, if you 'muta dance', can your mutas get off more shots in x amount of time than if you just sat there and fired away?

However how do I turn hotkeying units and buldings into a essential habit? Just force myself to do it and practice doing it over and over again until it becomes a habit? Yes.
