With regards to Kaep, I think people who are on his side need to name teams. I can't name any where your plan makes sense aside from possibly Miami. But I think they are either trying to trade for Rosen, trade up for a QB, or are straight tanking.

I just want him to get a few teams to bring him in for a tryout and then come out publicly and say he isn't what the team needs. And then we can all put it to bed. I don't really care if he plays or not, but him not getting a few teams to look at him seriously, is what I'm driving at. Miami, Jets, Buffalo, and for the wild card, I'll say San Diego.

I think Miami would be perfect for him. Low expectations low pressure and he could show if still has it because they have no one else to be the starter. But Kaep would need to take a non gauranteed incentive laden contract for 1 year. And if he did good than if foles can get 22 mil per year..... But first he has to prove it. Just like the honey badger just did.

Kaepernick's best move is to never play again so he can keep up the myth that he is screwed by the system and not because he is a trash qb with bagage. Once he signs with a team and shows his "skills" his case is over.
|
I wouldn't say hes trash I would say hes not worth the salary he was looking for that brought his baggage with him as well. He wasn't kicked out of the league because a team fired him or didn't extend his contract he voided his own contract in order to get more money and a better situation.

He got paid by the NFL so he is good on that front now!
I do like how reid took his one year deal, played awesome got a a big deal. This 100% proved he was colluded against and had the skills to play. Now I think Kaep is not going to do this because he makes a lot off nike and his other endorsements so coming back and not looking good would really hurt his stock. It is too much of a risk for him. I bet he makes way more outside of football than playing it.

So they colluded then decided to stop colluding?

If thats colluding then the NFL owners are shockingly great at keeping their collusion a secret.
Also I'm pretty sure its 100% not his choice anymore if he plays again in the NFL. No owner is going to touch him with a thousand-foot pole after he legally extorted them all out of tens of millions.

That's what I'm saying. Bring him in, let him tryout, and don't sign him. If enough teams do it, it isn't about them not wanting him to play, it's about him not being good enough. Story is over and he can go back to selling afro-centric picks and dashikis.
|
I don't see what either party gets from that though. Hes already going to sell afro-centric picks and dashikis without risking embarrassing himself (I don't know if he still practices) and no team is going to risk him actualy being good enough reopening the league to further collusion lawsuits.

Then the media just says it was always a sham and stans for him and drags you through the mud for a week.

I'd rather he get an honest shot than to continue talking about it.

They will talk about it either way

Yes, Reid got a bad contract. Kaep could maybe have done the same, but it is impossible to quietly win a starting job and play well at the QB position, and you do not want a QB2 or 3 who is more famous for their political protests than their play.
I wish Kaep could have made it a general "police violence" campaign rather than "police violence against blacks." Sure, blacks are shot more than they sould, but it certainly isn't an exclusive problem to them! He probably made more noise like this, but I think another approach would have had a better chance of producing actual results.

Should we talk about the AAF in this thread alongside CFB and NFL?
Johhney football is going to the AAF and memphis has the first chance at his rights.

Change the name to American Football Discussion?

Lets hope it lasts, they already had to be bailed out once. I hope they do NFL could use a minor league. But as of now I don't think it is a sure thing

I think it can stay as is. Better than" 2019 NFL, AAF, CFB season"
