I don't want to speculate on how EG will handle this, but I'd understand the decision to let him go based on this. At the same time if he owns up to his mistake and doesn't get caught saying shit like that again I would be in a favor of giving him a second chance. And for the everyone saying it wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't for the racism/prejudism, that's exactly the fucking point. Nobody cares about people being impolite or shit-talking or anything. People care that you're using words offensive to entire communities of people who have nothing to do with you losing at a video game. If you call somebody an asshole when you rage the only person you're offending is some dude laddering, and even then he's probably more amused than anything. The fact that it's that simple makes what orb said even more stupid. But like I said above, if he "gets it" then I don't see why we shouldn't be willing to forgive him.

Especially since Orb clearly had aspirations to be somewhat prominent in the community, and he had problems with this very same issue all the way back to the beta, getting his stream taken out of features, you would think he would act like a grown up and keep his mouth shut when he gets mad. Instead he shows he either has no self control or doesn't think throwing bigoted tantrums is a problem. Either way there should be consequences and I don't get why that is unclear to some people.

Please please please explain to me how this would affect anyone in real life. People get angry and then they say things to express it. That's it. Nothing more. If you're letting something as stupid as this keep you from enjoying the game and its community, you live a sad life and I hope you get your priorities in order. there's people on these forums who think sc2 will somehow blow up and be mainstream and that it needs to be as "professional" as possible for that to happen. Once the scene has been cleansed from all unprofessionalism, it will instantly become the new soccer/football/basketball. It is their duty to carry out that cleansing, no matter the cost

community is full of dramatic bitches and sad fucks that literally went though all of his vods searching for 'nigger' to be said. what a brilliant waste of time. slap him on the wrist, tell him to watch his language now that he is a 'public' (laughable) figure and move on. orb is a great caster and this community is retarded.

That CEARLY proves that that incident isn't recent. As for the other ones it's up in the air as to if it was him or when it happened.

Give him a slap on the wrist and he wont do it again I'd bet (certainly not now when he's involved with EG). I previously thought the shit with Katu was justified but honestly people overreact waaaaaaay too much to these kind of caster topics. Everybody are just thinking of "legitimizing e-sports" as if they'll suddenly be gone tomorrow if we keep having Orb as a caster, which he's pretty damn good at. I agree people are so negative when it comes to sc2. Its a video game like most people would be laughing at these rage pictures and moving on, but these hardcore sc2 nerds who all suck at the game just look for negative stuff. they all sound like jealous nerds just SAYING ROFL

Can't have those double standards dangling around. ^^ Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think idra has ever used racial slurs in his BMing. There's a huge difference to people. Although I tend to think if Idra did use them regularly EG wouldn't fire him for it. Lord knows his tournament results aren't getting EG and their sponsors any attention as of late.
